HR Operations Coordinator – Temporary

Slalom’s fast-paced, highly collaborative HR team is seeking an Operations Coordinator in our Seattle Market to support the team’s continual growth. This person will work closely with Slalom's Corporate Services and local operations teams. The individual in this role will develop a strong working knowledge of HR information systems and online tools, as well as knowledge of employment laws and regulations. The Human Resources Coordinator role will directly impact several areas including: new hire onboarding, reporting, benefits, payroll, and general employment matters and administration. A successful candidate will be hands on, detail oriented, and have the desire to be an important (and positive!) part of the Slalom employee experience. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Partner with talent acquisition to create offer letter and employee agreements
  • Own the new hire onboarding process, including refining tracking and processes, as well as developing relationships with key partners in talent acquisition, benefits, and payroll teams
  • Manage reporting in support of auditing and compliance activities
  • Quickly and accurately review, research and respond to incoming emails to HR Help Desk, supporting our local and international employees
  • Train and troubleshoot with employees using our self-service portal
  • Manage filing and upkeep of employment records and data
  • Respond in a timely and accurate manner to verification of employment requests
  • Assist HR Business Partner by coordinating compliance, development and other local market efforts
  • Special projects as assigned by management to improve the effectiveness of the Human Resources function

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience
  • A bachelor's degree in a business discipline preferred or equivalent experience in related field
  • Human Resources background is preferred
  • Ability to work in a professional environment and handle confidential information
