Job Title:

Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant on the Compensation Accounting team will be responsible for performing month-end and annual closing and financial reporting duties, including accruals, adjustments, reconciliations, variance explanations, and documentation. The Staff Accountant must be highly detailed, results-driven, and have a great understanding of accounting principles, accounting systems, analytical functions, and monthly close processes. In addition, strong proficiency in Excel is required, including pivot tables, financial analysis, and V-lookups, among others.

  • Perform General Ledger accounting tasks such as journal entry preparation, account analysis, and account reconciliation related to compensation
  • Assist in preparing and distributing bonus accrual reporting to internal users
  • Assist in analytical review of financial statements
  • Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
  • Assist in audit preparation and requests
  • Play a role in driving continued process improvements, including working cross-functionally to create repeatable, consistent processes
  • Support team in meeting deadlines related to compensation and bonus tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 2+ years’ experience in General Ledger Accounting (or comparable public accounting experience)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality and discretion
  • Ability to respond to internal service needs efficiently and professionally
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Possesses a high level of spreadsheet and database competency
  • Ability to work with large amounts of data
  • Ability to learn and apply new concepts quickly and independently
  • Ability to think downstream and outside the box
  • Experience with Workday a plus
  • CPA and/or Public accounting experience preferred
