Job Title: Salesforce – Marketing Cloud Architect 

In this role you will be consulting with clients and other Slalom capabilities to build out solutions that connect business & technology and have the intended impact on customer experience, behavior and value. You will understand marketing technology stacks and how different technologies are used and integrated to drive marketing results. You will connect data tagging, tracking and collection capabilities to customer insights and marketing strategies. The ideal candidate is a self-driven, collaborative thinker with a “figure it out” mentality that has a passion for helping organizations solve complex business, insights and technology problems.  


  • Consult with clients on enterprise or departmental level customer experience strategy 
  • Translate business objectives and marketing plans into well-designed solutions that best leverage digital platform capabilities 
  • Recommend appropriate digital technology to support the customer’s needs end-to-end, including hosting and integration with existing technologies (CRM, marketing automation, analytics, etc.) 
  • Lead engagement strategies, including lead nurturing, lead scoring, multi-channel strategy and Journey Builder architecture. 
  • Manage the delivery of custom solutions, interfaces, and integrations, leading a team and/or working with a Slalom project manager 
  • Evaluate and provide requirements and solutions for activating and optimizing marketing technologies (e.g. Adobe Campaign, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, Pardot, etc.) and Ecommerce solutions (e.g. SAP Hybris, Salesforce Commerce Cloud etc.)  
  • Support business and technology teams to define, design, architect, implement and operate web platforms and capabilities 
  • Demonstrate knowledge of marketing campaign planning and execution practices related to email, interactive and cross-channel marketing initiatives 
  • Understand all facets of various marketing automation platforms for both B2B and B2C clients, such as creation of cross-channel campaigns, implementations of lead scoring, lead nurturing, alerts, routing and notifications, segmentation, personalization and creation of ROI reporting and key metrics 
  • Provide expertise in eCommerce and eService to guide web product strategy and road-map development 


  • 7+ years of CRM experience, the majority specifically with Salesforce 
  • 7+ years of Customer Experience strategy, omni-channel and / or marketing strategy & execution experience, including digital channel expertise, ideally in consulting or digital agency work 
  • Expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Journey Builder and the ability to speak to Email Studio, Data Studio, Social Studio, Advertising Studio, Mobile Studio and Interaction Studio 
  • Active Salesforce certifications or ability to achieve relevant certifications upon hire 
  • Highly preferred certifications: "Marketing Cloud Consultant" and/or "Marketing Cloud Email Specialist" 
  • A good understanding of database structure, data hygiene, analytics and attribution  
  • Excellent client-facing written, oral communication and presentation skills
