Solution Principal - Data Management

As a leader in Slalom New York’s Data Management practice, you will contribute to our growing Data & Analytics practice. The ideal candidate is a professional with 10+ years of experience in designing, developing, validating, and delivering high-quality solutions. You will interact with business, technical, and vendor partner groups to help define outcome based solutions that deliver long-term value to our clients. At the end of the day, you will help our clients solve their biggest problems with innovative business focused technology solutions.


·      Responsible for designing and delivering end-to-end data architecture solutions

·      Interacting with various business groups to help define needs and then translating those needs into customized solutions that deliver long-term value to our clients

·      Conduct and lead white-boarding sessions, workshops, design sessions, and project meetings as needed, playing a key role in client relations

·      Lead analysis, architecture, design and development of data warehouse and business intelligence solutions

·      Assist business development team with pre-sales activities and RFPs that align with practice revenue targets

·      Assist in the estimating and planning of projects

·      Collaborate in the creation/enhancement of best practices, points-of-view, and delivery templates (Modern Data Architecture, Cloud Platforms, etc.) to standardize sales and delivery efforts

·      Responsible for People/Career Management and project staffing

·      Support recruiting and onboarding of new employees

·      Act as a champion for one or more technical alliances, setting strategic goals for the practice, and managing relationships with alliance vendors


·      10+ years of experience, specializing in DW/BI solution architecture, design, and development

·      5+ years of consulting experience; experience estimating level of effort for analytics and data work, creating proposals, and managing workload

·      Active certification in AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure (data services), Snowflake, Informatica, Dell Boomi, or related technologies

·      Extensive experience leading pre-sales activities such as leading business development presentations, writing SOWs, and closing business

·      Comfortable with carrying financial targets related to supported sales, revenue, and gross profit

·      Data Warehousing and Data Modeling, specifically building/understanding star schema-based data mart solutions

·      Demonstrated passion for DW/BI and the ability to communicate its value as a strategic business advantage

·      Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and analytics techniques

·      Outstanding communication skills (both in presentation and comprehension) along with the aptitude for thought leadership in analytics/BI

·      Highly self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment
