What You’ll Do

Job Title: Procurement Specialist

Under the direction of leadership, you will manage multiple categories of indirect spend, be accountable for development and implementation of sourcing strategies that link to core business objectives while leveraging the marketplace and vendor community. You will perform end to end strategic sourcing and category management functions: analyzing third party spend to identify opportunities, develop category strategies, and coordinate the sourcing process (including but not limited to; requests for proposals, negotiations, and contracting activities). Responsibilities will include developing relationships and providing strategic category direction to Business Owners, Management and Cross functional teams. Finally, you will work across other departments to drive value and provide guidance as well as ensure adherence to procurement processes and policy compliance across the enterprise.


  • Manage the vendor lifecycle, from new purchases to renewals
  • Analyze category spend to identify and deliver on cost savings targets
  • Develop negotiation strategies to optimize value
  • Generate and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies
  • Optimize sourcing procedures to deliver maximum efficiency
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gain agreement on priorities and engagement mechanics
  • Review, draft, redline, and execute contracts
  • Perform cost/benefit analysis and benchmarking


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a Procurement role, supporting or leading category initiatives
  • Multi-unit/location organization experience preferred
  • Demonstrated success providing outstanding customer service
  • Familiarity with sourcing, vendor management, and procurement processes
  • Experience utilizing and implementing procurement software solutions
  • Experience developing processes, and delivering solution and process training, in a classroom setting
  • Ability to discover, re-engineer and deliver on process optimization projects
  • Strong project management, leadership and presentation skills
  • Understanding of market and vendor dynamics
  • Experience negotiating software and professional service agreements
  • Ability to develop, and sustain, productive networking relationships
  • Ability to deliver reporting from source systems, analyze/interpret data, and make recommendations to stakeholders
