Job Title:

Software Engineer, Global People Team

Summary:

Our highly collaborative and growing Global People Team, is seeking a software engineer to build out Slalom’s custom career platform which will enable the implementation and ongoing excellence of Slalom’s new Career Framework. The Career Framework is Slalom’s foundational set of titles and associated job expectations that serve as a roadmap for the development and growth of our people.

In addition to building and supporting the career platform, this individual will partner with other Product Teams (e.g., Workday) for data and integration needs. The ideal candidate is a builder and passionate about creating tools that positively impact employee experience and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a member of a growing product team; help define and influence team culture & environment
  • Build hands-on experience with the latest technologies and delivery methodologies
  • Work in a fast-paced, agile project environment
  • Serve as escalation resource for other Slalom Product Team members and employees where appropriate

Qualifications: 

  • Proficient JavaScript Coder, TypeScript a plus
  • Experience with Slalom SAM Accelerator is a big plus
  • AWS Experience – CloudFormation, Lambda, DynamoDB
  • Strong Software Engineering principles
  • DevOps Fundamentals
  • Working knowledge of source control
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies
  • Comfortable with fast changing requirements
  • Ability to work both independently and collaborating as a team
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written skills in order to effectively communicate with all levels of the company including our executive team
