Learning Experience Designer

Summary:

Slalom is seeking a Learning Experience Designer to join our Talent Management team. This energetic, innovative team supports our consultants nationwide through the design of learning, performance, and career development initiatives that increase workforce capability and employee engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Scope, design, develop, and deploy eLearning, job aides and just-in-time content, instructor-led course materials, and online learning solutions
  • Utilize available resources to produce relevant, measurable and learner-centered experiences utilizing scripts, storyboards, content authoring tools, and user-centered design techniques
  • Manage the assessment, planning, scheduling, and tracking of learning across the organization in a way that supports organizational goals and captures evaluation, impact, and learner data
  • Work with stakeholders, SMEs and leaders to identify learning gaps and/or needs and to develop and deploy those learning experiences to our learning audience

Qualifications: 

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in developing learning content or instructional design
  • Demonstrated proficiency with authoring tools such as, Articulate Storyline, Camtasia and the Adobe Creative Suite or other e-learning authoring, screen capture, and design software
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically when creating learning content, with a track record of creating systems to easily identify, track, and prioritize learning needs
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and design methodologies with a track record of practical application in formal and informal contexts
  • Successful record of building effective learning experiences in the format of simulations, game-based and gamified learning, websites, microlearning, just-in-time solutions, job aids and infographics, video, and animation/motion graphics
  • Demonstrated ability to consult, influence, and develop strong relationships with cross-functional leaders and subject matter experts
  • Comfort developing and leveraging systems and tools to analyze learner data that drives future decision-making
  • Experience in high-paced environments preferred • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Instructional Design, Education Technology, or similar field preferred
