Slalom is seeking an experienced Knowledge Management (KM) Director to join the Executive Programs team. This leader will be responsible for driving the strategy, development and execution of our global KM function. They will also partner with key senior stakeholders from across the organization to ensure alignment with our company’s objectives and business needs. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven leader to define and implement the process, technology, and metrics to enable the collection, management, and delivery of knowledge within the organization.   The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic fast-paced environment and has experience in running KM, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and Information Architecture strategy.  They will have the opportunity to directly impact the way Sales, Delivery Teams, and Internal Departments build and leverage knowledge capital. 


What You’ll Do

  • Collaboration with leaders across the organization to understand the business requirements and create a KM strategy, framework, and platform(s).
  • Develop a KM vision and business case to obtain executive sponsorship for the program.
  • Hire and manage the KM team who will bring the KM vision to life.
  • Build relationships with business groups to establish an internal awareness and understanding of KM and the corresponding needs of our employees.
  • Oversee and refine content lifecycle management standards and define global approach to content localization.
  • Champion governance standards and processes to ensure delivery of accurate, timely and relevant content, while maintaining control and guaranteeing quality.
  • Oversee the taxonomy for the storage, retrieval, and delivery of information.
  • Participate in the definition, development, and ownership of internal corporate search strategies.
  • Establish and drive change management efforts to ensure effective knowledge sharing behaviors, understanding and consistency across the organization.
  • Ensure that KM is firmly embedded in business processes.
  • Develop and execute a communication and awareness strategy to increase employee participation in building and sharing knowledge capital.
  • Develop benchmarks to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the KM program.  

What You’ll Bring

  • 10+ years of experience leading a KM program with a proven ability to lead and deliver on strategic and tactical business objectives.
  • Prior experience in a global consulting firm or high-tech industry is a plus.
  • Extensive experience with content management systems, data taxonomies/information architecture and KM principles and techniques.
  • Proven and demonstrable track record of translating business objectives into business solutions.
  • Strong analytical mindset to synthesize and drive actions with data.
  • An inspirational leader who is comfortable with change and able to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Information Management, Information Technology or Library and Information Sciences.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
