Slalom Consulting’s Organizational Effectiveness Practice enables companies to get the most business value from their processes, technologies, and people. Our consultants are experienced business architects, change practitioners, and organizational design specialists that bring the right solutions to each project. Slalom is looking to cultivate an organizational transformation capability that supports our clients in creating new capabilities that drive their business and strategy forward. The ideal candidate for this role will be a strong organizational effectiveness leader with a passion for helping organizations navigate technology-based disruption, reorganizations / restructuring, shared services consolidation, outsourcing and other strategic changes to deliver true business transformation embodied from the C-suite through to front line managers and employees. 


Responsibilities:

  • Support business development and sales efforts by identifying sales leads, participating in business development meetings and preparing and presenting sales materials.
  • Create and sunset go-to-market offerings relevant to organizational transformation efforts, particularly in relation to digital disruption
  • Drive value to clients through consulting delivery by building solid stakeholder relationships with clients and others and aligning them to achieve client goals
  • Be the lead for the organizational effectiveness workstream of large scale technology-based workplace and other business transformations; Lead 2-20 person teams to deliver client engagements
  • Sequence design changes, identifying project implementation risks as well as implementation planning
  • Lead, grow and develop a team of consultant direct reports so that they become high-performing as individuals and as members of a team
  • Have oversight of organizational transformation team including managing staffing and utilization, performance management, professional growth and career development.


Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in management or organizational effectiveness consulting with prior experience working with clients at C-suite level and/or Executive Steering Committees
  • Experience working through the organizational impacts of emerging technologies and digital transformations: Cloud Transformations such as data center transition to the cloud or implementation of new technologies such as AWS and Azure, DevOps, Automation, and/or AI.
  • Experience with program management of strategic initiatives
  • Executive presence and confidence to direct and manage complex organizational redesigns, re-structures, outsourcings and workforce automations
  • Experience navigating difficult client environments with political sensitivities, workforce reductions, low morale, change fatigue and multiple leadership changes
  • Proven experience partnering with project/program managers or transformation office of redesign efforts
  • Knowledge of a broad range of organizational effectiveness areas including:
    • All phases of Organizational Design
    • Culture transformation
    • Organizational change management
    • Project management
    • Talent management and HR processes
    • Strategic communications
    • Change Leadership
    • Conflict resolution/de-escalation tools and techniques
  • A relationship builder able to team effectively with others and build relationships at all levels internally and with client teams and stakeholders
  • Driven to deliver excellent work product and a consistently high level of service
  • First rate communicator with audiences of all levels and seniority
